The quint-it wall system is an innovative full glass system, where vertical posts are not necessary. Clearness and understatement are fortified through the anthracite colored glass panels. The patented products are an expression of a responsible, environmental handling with high-quality materials and innovative techniques. The profiles in the revolving- and sliding door are the same size as the profiles in the frames, and they are flush to all glass surfaces. They have been developed according to the principle of the golden ratio.

THE quint-it DEUTSCHLAND GMBH.

quint-it stands for the thrive for perfection and the joy of good design. The founders of the company Oliver Betz and Ralf Hausner developed the quint-it wall system in co-operation with inventor of the system, Hubert Elmer. Elmer is from Tyrol in Austria, where he also lives. He has made a name for himself in the international glass architecture, and he has won several renowned prizes, such as the red dot for good design.

The idea behind quint-it is to create structure in the room. Current trend studies show us that there is an increasing need for multi-functional and flexible rooms that can serve more purposes. quint-it offers style and value with it´s clear lines and the consistent flushed design.

Less is more.

The profiles let room transitions be the creating element of the architecture in the room. They are orientated to the need for space, acoustic, light and the efficient use of the room. The wall system gives individual room for withdrawal, transparency and openness in the office or private home.

PROJECT ALTES HAFENAMT, COLOGNE

Two reflections on the modern office

1. The altes Hafenamt, the old port authority building in Cologne was built in 1889, and belongs to the most beautiful buildings in the city, has been rebuilt and renovated. The row of communication open offices in the adjoining new construction goes around the glazed atrium, and creates an unique setting for single- and team offices, and for open space areas. The common conference rooms are in the ground floor. Space for withdrawal, but also the opportunity for exchange with guests and costumers has been created.

2. Glazed sliding doors invite to open communication inside the building. In this way the employees become a part of this very special ”market place” atmosphere, completely in accordance with the modern office.

1. The interaction between elements and functions creates a clear modern architecture.

2. The powder-coated aluminum profile is easy to clean and antimicrobial. Large glass surfaces and the profile are a clear statement to transparency and cleanliness.

1. With the full glass system the open office gets structure and space for different working situations: the single working place, the team working place and the meeting- and presentations room.

2. With full-surface fabric cover, the room gets acoustically effective areas. So the opaque wall parts get the function as absorber, presentation area and provisions on views for confident conversations – all at the same time.

3. The fabric cover is printable, and so it is not only capable to be used as a reflecting surface, but also for emotional, eye-catching presentations.

4. The full glass walls provide light, transparent rooms, where also daylight gets through walls that turn against windows.

1. Today flexibility in the use of office areas is a cruising criterion for space and economic efficiency. During a working day, an office area can be used in many different ways: as a temporary workplace, as a meeting point or as a conference room.

2. Through a very well thought out planning on beforehand, with sufficient space for the different usage requirements, huge future costs for individual building adjustments can be saved.

3. The sliding doors enable barrier-free running surfaces, and can be integrated in the full glass -space division so that it look like as they are freely floating.

1. Large glass walls can be decorated through foiling. Rooms with changing functions can so be divided and still have a high flexibility of use. Individual space for withdrawal, transparency and openness.

2. The revolving doors can as an option also be supplied an individual sign system.

3. The window frames on the outside facade of the building harmonies with the space division system inside the building.
